2012 Race now open!

1. Make sure you have a one day license or full TI membership in place before thursday (21st) and bring a copy of the email from triathlon ireland (TI) regarding your license and photographic ID. NO LICENSE NO RACE
2. Hard shell helmets must be worn during the bike section.
3. Wetsuits are compulsory for the swim section.
4. There is no parking in the marina This year due to restricted space. Please be patient and follow all marshals instructions. The main carpark will be at the GAA club a short distance from the race venue, there will be a mini bus service to and from the GAA grounds all day for competitors and spectators.

Triangle triathlon club are proudly hosting the second Big Splash Triathlon in association with the Big Splash River Festival and Gig n the Bann.

The triathlon will be over the classic sprint distance, with 750 meter open water swim,
12 mile cycle and the a 3 mile run. The course and distance is short and flat enough for beginners and yet challenging enough for the seasoned triathlete.

So if your looking for your first triathlon then why not give the big splash triathlon a go!

Enter online at Run Ireland. Entries will cost £28 (relay teams £45) and all entrants will receive a commemorative goodie bag.

Along side the triathlon there is also the big splash river festival taking place on the same day. With the triathlon there will also be bouncy castles for the kids, all day bbq, banana boat rides on the river bann, kayaking/canoeing and to follow all of this there will also be a raft race on the river. Then later that night there will be a good auld fashioned knees up in one of the local bars!
